Baby Yoga aims to promote and provide deep relaxation, stimulation of touch whilst improving movement and breathing.

The loving attention and touch involved during a baby yoga session enhances early bonding and creates a secure and happy foundation of well-being. This coupled with the enjoyment of sharing this special one to one time with your baby makes infant Yoga an excellent addition to your normal daily routine.

Yoga for babies involves a combination of movement and touch with particular attention placed on the teaching of specific therapeutic postures to new mothers.

Yoga for new mothers can help strengthen and tones the pelvic and back muscles following the birth of your baby. It is also proven to reduce and in some cases, relieve completely, many of the physical and mental stresses associated with being a new Mum.

My Yoga class is taught over 6 weeks and includes the following:

  • We begin the session with a dry massage routine for your baby.
  • Moving on, I introduce a range of baby yoga moves which include balance, stretching and relaxing sequences.
  • We will also practice specific routines that can help with colic, improve digestion and ease congestion
  • My sessions are as much dedicated to your well-being, and so I will introduce a range of gentle yoga exercise suitable for post-natal recovery.
  • Songs/rhymes are introduced and co-ordinated with a number of the exercises and movements.
  • The session concludes with a relaxation sequence designed to harmonise both mothers and babies.
